SUCCESS !!! I finally got what I wanted. I installed OpenELEC which is just a Linux operating system that only runs XBMC so it can transform your computer into a home media center, which is exactly what I am using my Raspberry Pi for. Now I can use this old 20 inch LCD monitor and my Raspberry Pi to be repurposed as a small home entertainment system upstairs for me and the kids. I got full access to stream movies, music, and pictures across my network to the upstairs of my house. So just gotta plug up some speakers because this computer monitor doesnt have any. The monitor uses 37 watts of electricity and the Raspberry Pi is an average of 4 watts for its power consumption. No moving parts either and its completely silent in its operation. I even built this house style enclosure to protect my Raspberry Pi and I built it from Lego blocks. I wish the Raspberry Pi had a dual-core ARM Cortex-A15 clocked at 1.4Ghz with a dual-core ARM Cortex-A7 clocked at 800Mhz in Global Task Scheduling (GTS) mode, 1GB of RAM, at least 40 Gigaflops of GPUCompute capability, and manufactured on a process that includes 22nanometer trigate transistors. Hopefully the processors TDP is below 2 watts. Of course Id want 2 dedicated USB controller chips in it. One to be used for input devices such as mice, keyboards, USB gamepad controllers, and the other controller for using USB storage devices such as hard drives and flash drives. Id also want to overcool it with a heatsink that is larger than needed. I got my Raspberry Pi slightly overcooled as it is. It doesnt require a heatsink or fan, yet I have a copper heatsink on the processor.
