SUCCESS STORY CLOVER The two week update on Clover is that we are SO happy that she is part of our lives now. What a great kitty! She has really relaxed and settled into our home and is spending very little time in dark hiding places. She really seems to want to be where we are now. She still needs to adjust to strange voices and loud noises but she is doing just great at this early point. She loves sitting at our kitchen doors (a wall of glass looking out on our patio) and watching the bird feeders or the squirrels stocking up on fallen seed for winter. She has adopted the habit of jumping up on the couch between us at night while we watch TV and has become Kurts nap buddy. I bought a terrific toy that she adores and we both get lots of exercise with it. Its a fur tube stuffed with a crinklely cellophane and finished off with a tail. She gets CRAZY when we play with that one . And, tonight she discovered the lady bugs that are coming inside for the winter and buzzing around the lamps. She is eating well although she still chatters at me all the way to setting the bowl down as if to say Hey, me first!. The litter box is a faithful receptacle and she hasnt bothered the furniture since I put some tape on it and other obstacles to dissuade early interest in clawing. I would like to think that all adoption stories end as nicely as this one has. She is our second shelter cat and we are 2 for 2 now. I am so happy that the stars aligned and brought her to us. Keep posting those cute pictures on the internet and hopefully all your special friends will find new homes.
