SUFI HISTORY. Aziz Al-Nasafi ( 13th century Persian SUFI of Kubrawiyya Order) he was flayed in Aleppo. He would look at the person flaying him and smile. He composes 500 verses of poetry affirming the oneness of Allah while he was being flayed. He was condemned when his enemies cunningly entrapped him. They sent the sheikh a pair if shoes as present, into the shoes of which had been inserted a piece of paper on which was written the Quranic Chapter Ikhlas and put it in his shoes to be stepped on. So the governor sent an agent who found the piece of paper. The sheikh surrendered to the will of Allah and dis not defend himself, for he knew he would inevitably be put to death. May Allah bless his gentle soul and other SUFI clerics who suffered cuz they know what others know not.
