SUMMER INFORMATION from CITY SERVICES City Services would like to remind citizens that summer is here and that means yard waste pickup has begun! Totes are dumped every Monday. YARD WASTE TOTES are $8.50 a month plus tax and are picked up every Monday. Keep in mind that yard waste totes are for yard waste only. Please do not use plastic bags or put garbage of any kind in the totes. 300 GALLON TOTES are for extra garbage only and are free for one week. Do not put yard waste in garbage totes. Also, the next BRANCH PICK-UP day will be Monday, August 19th. Please call City Services at 892-2674 to order a tote or to have your branches put on the list for pick up. Water Meter Notices: Public Works is in the process of installing the automatic water meter reading system. To ensure that a new meter is installed in every home, water meter notices will be hung on doors to inform residents when it is time to have the new meter installed. The water meter notice is a red card which has instructions to call City Services to set up an appointment to have the new meter installed within 10 days of the notice. If a call is not made to set up an appointment within 10 days of the notice, the water to that residence will be shut off. So keep an eye out for the red water meter notices and call in for an appointment promptly so the meters can be installed as quickly and efficiently as possible. Thank you!
