SUMMER SEASON PREVIEW- The Water Diviner Directed by Russell Crowe Russel Crowe’s directorial debut was filmed in South Australia and will feature himself in the lead role. He plays a father that travels to Gallipoli to find the bodies of deceased, ANZAC sons. While none of us will explicitly say it, Australian film this year have been deplorable, it the continuing downturn of the local films. Hopes are being pinned on The Water Diviner to be a turnaround for the industry and for the film to make a buck. Being released on Boxing Day, amongst brilliant competition, the film will struggle to find an audience. My prediction 7/10 Released Boxing Day Steve
