SUNDAY 11TH, JANUARY Pastor David Okoye says: BE AN ACTIVE SOUL WINNER “Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences”. 2 Corinthians 5:11 To persuade means to successfully convince someone to agree or accept or do something usually through reasoning and verbal influence. It takes wisdom to win souls. Many atimes a God child says “I really want to win souls, but I don’t know what to do” or “I have tried and just can’t seem to be making as much progress as that other person”. Such Christians always end up believing that soul winning is a hard job. To get the right results you’ve got to do the right thing. Doing the right things entails doing things the way God says they should be done. The process of soul winning is simple. The singular reason why many don’t make much progress in soul winning is because they believe it to be a very complicated process. The first thing a God child has got to realise is that the work is not all up to you but to God. The Holy Ghost in you is the one that does the work. He simply passes through you as a vessel. Whenever you go to represent God and His life in you, you first have to ensure your total dependence is on Him through His Spirit: you are God’s outstretched arm to the world. Secondly, you are to persuade them; this means you convince them with the word of God, of the life God offers them, the benefits attached to it and what to do to receive this life. As Life offers us lots of opportunities to reach out to souls and win them for the lord, let us not be weary in well doing. Win a soul today. DECLARATION I am an active soul winner. I am Gods outstretched arm to the nations. I am warning and teaching everyman in wisdom bringing them to the light of the gospel.
