SUNDAY GRAND FINAL : ROB WINS. Congratulations go to Rob Schnabel (A+5 handicap) from Germany for winning the Sunday 9 Ball Grand Final for Season 10 on Saturday night. From a maximum entry of 16 players, he defeated Kazu Sekimata (A+2 handicap) from Japan in the final of the Double Elimination tournament, to collect the 1st prize of 10000 baht. Rob played excellent pool throughout the evening and was a deserved winner. He won 4 matches on the Winners side of the draw, before defeating Kazu in the Grand Final by 7 racks to 2 (race 7-4), to claim victory. His handicap now moves up to A+6 as a result. Kazu, also played consistently well on the night, and received 6000 baht for 2nd place. Albert Gringhuis (A+ handicap) from The Netherlands, once again performed well in a Grand Final event, collecting 4000 baht for finishing in 3rd place, with John Weber (A+ handicap) from Israel taking home 3000 baht for 4th. In equal 5th place were Thomas Pettersson (A+ handicap) from Sweden, and Nid Mirantee Phukthamt (A+ handicap) from Thailand, who each received 2000 baht. Nids handicap now moves back up to A+1. The other money winners were Robert Goodfellow (A+1 handicap) from Australia and Dan Björling (A handicap) from Sweden, who each collected 1000 baht money back for finishing in equal 7th position.
