During the soundwalk underwater sounds from the Grand River and the pond around Victoria Park will be musically superimposed by the artists onto the soundscape of Victoria Park. ARTISTS TALK WITH ANDREAS KAHRE SUNDAY JUNE 1, 2014 /// 2PM CONESTOGA ROOM, KITCHENER CITY HALL /// 200 KING ST W, KITCHENER Following the sound tour of Victoria Park, come back to the Conestoga Room at Kitchener City Hall to hear Andreas Kahre speak about the the compositional strategies that he and Darren Copeland have developed in their recent works including underwater audio sources, interactions between social and natural soundscapes, and work that explores the interstice between ambient and composed sound. Examples and demonstrations will include work from recent proposals and research projects undertaken in Vancouver and Toronto.
