SUNDAY SERMON NOVEMBER 2 2014: PRAYER SUMMIT DAY 2 NOVEMBER 2014 THEME: WE ARE AN UNSTOPPABLE GENERATION Matthew 16:18 KJV[18] And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it and Acts 5:39 KJV [39] But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest happy ye be found even to fight against God. Main Teaching Do something new oh Lord, Rise up for me oh Lord, It is time for you, to establish me, And make me a praise on the earth. 1. There is a counsel that is most superior in your life. That is why the Bible says only the counsel of God is superior. God has the way and thoughts that are superior to any of mans. There is therefore an end that is glorious, only one. So today discover this counsel. As a member of the church of God, as one among the saints, a member of His body, we are unstoppable. When you understand the platform where God operates from you are unstoppable. Jesus told his disciples and specifically to Peter in Matthew 16:18 KJV [18] And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. The church in reference here is not the physical structure but the body of Christ. Until a man has given their life, is born again, he is not a member of the church. So it is salvation that makes you a member of the church. Your membership to the body of Christ is by salvation and it is by being born again that you are admitted into the body of Christ, the church of Christ. You therefore needed to confess. Romans 10:10 KJV [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 2. Man is lost, has sinned and fallen short of the glory God, until he traces his steps back through the way to the Body of Christ. The Bible speaks of only one way to the body of Christ, it is to leave your father and mother and follow Jesus. You are not a member of that church until you follow Jesus. If therefore you dont connect with Jesus there will be no connecting with the church of Christ. You therefore will find people in church who are not members of the church, the body of Christ, because they have not experienced salvation. Salvation is the gateway to becoming the child of God. There are therefore people that can be stopped and there are others that can not be stopped. 3. From the time of Jesus, the devil has tried to stop the church. So when you are a child of God, by virtue of salvation, you belong to that class. 1 Peter 2:9-10 KJV [9] But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: [10] Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. Be careful you could be in church but just being some sophisticated person but not be a member of that body. You could still be an outcast. When however, you are born again, you automatically become part of the chosen generation, you become peculiar, royal. Then upon you the rock, God will build his church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against you. 4. Now understand it this way. The devil is a thief who wants to take away your inheritance over your life. He wants the gates of his hell to prevail against you. Be born again and he will not access your life. He has no right over you as a born again, a member of the body of Christ. You are too belonged to the generation of God for the devil to place a demand over your head. The Jewish generation is an unstoppable generation. Refer to the story of Esther. You belong to a generation that can not be dealt with. You cant touch Jews, God is their God and salvation brought us into the same realm as that of the Jews. You therefore cant toy with that generation. You will relax if you understand the generation you belong to. You only become a victim if you are not a member of that generation or if you dont operate from the realm of that generation. 5. The word that Jesus said still stands now. There is nothing that carries your name that will stop you. No force from hell can stop you. When we set out to move nothing can stop us. You therefore need to operate from the frequency of that generation, nothing is strong enough to stop you. The word said I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail. 6. One day they gathered together and they wanted to finish the church and yet God is for the church. See this. Acts 5:27-39 KJV [27] And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them, [28] Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this mans blood upon us. [29] Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. [30] The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree. [31] Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. [32] And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him. [33] When they heard that , they were cut to the heart , and took counsel to slay them. [34] Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space; [35] And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men. [36] For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought. [37] After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed. [38] And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: [39] But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God. 7. Anyone going against the church is heading to their end. You dont rise up against members of the body of Christ, they are in real sense persecuting Christ. Yes when the owner of that body, will rise against you. No one can overthrow that body. 8. When they were stopped, they began a new operation of door to door. The church was born to win not to be stopped . Acts 5:40-42 KJV [40] And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. [41] And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name. [42] And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ. 9. There is nothing that belongs to you that will stop. You cant stop that generation. They killed James, held Peter in prison but did not stop the church. The church is a group that can not be stopped and you belong in that group. You will therefore not fear. And the gates of hell shall not prevail!!!!!!!!!! Their nailing Him to the cross did not make the devil prevail. The church is too strong to be scattered by the devil. You cant rise up against the church and not be ashamed. The owner of the church, Jesus, does not sleep nor slumber. Wake up to that revelation today. No matter what stands in your way you can not be stopped. They placed John in hot oil and he died but the church didnt die, James was killed, Peter placed in prison, but the church was not stopped. You belong to that generation. The devil is not your pillar, he is not in control. Your tomorrow is sure because you are a member of that unstoppable body. Your salvation is not in vain. You were saved to have dominion. What ever God has placed in your life no power can stop it. People that do not have that revelation suffer shame. The church is the only body that Jesus died for. Now if Jesus died for his body, will He allow the devil enter it? DECLARE ON THIS DAY :I BELONG TO AN UNSTOPPABLE GENERATION. SATAN CANT STOP ME.
