SUNDAY SERVICE MESSAGE DATE: 22/06/2014 THEME FOR THE MONTH: She considereth a field and buyeth it ERVICE THEME : THE EMPOWERED WOMAN Sister Laide BIBLE VERSE: Proverbs 31:16 Before we can consider investing in an asset, we need the resources to get this asset. Empowerment is the authority given to somebody to carry out a function. This function could be spiritual or physical . For both, we need God. We must place ourselves in the presence of God. BECOMING AN EMPOWERED WOMAN SPIRITUAL EMPOWERMENT * Study and meditate the word of God , Fast and pray. Joshua 1:8 We must practice these words that we study. The words will not work for us if we do not act them. 1 Kings 17:8-16 We must be obedient to Gods words. 2 Kings 4:1-7 We must apply the word of God in our everyday lives. We must give, even from the little that we have. We should show kindness,Love and care to the people around us. We should use our talents and passion properly. Deutronomy 8:18 Isaiah 30:21 Hear from God and follow his directions. We need to listen to his voice and be empowered. We must not be fearful. Proverbs 31:14, 16,19 ,20,22 & 24. We should extend our hands to the needy and be a blessing to others. We must have the spirit of love.. to be excellent wives and mothers. We must have the spirit of a sound mind...to make the right decision at the right time. Our integrity and resourcefulness is very important. we should not be wasteful but put the future into consideration. We must be prudent, we must be wise. Seek for wisdom from God. Psalm119:99-105 Continous relationship with God is very important. Proverbs 24:3-4 Fast and pray from time to time for breakthroughs,blessings and protection for your family and household. PHYSICAL EMPOWERMENT * Encouragement Proverbs 27:17 Husbands must encourage their wives. Proverbs 31:11 A man who encourages his wife, has no lack of gain. The encouragement from husbands strengthens the faith in wives. Proverbs 31:23 * Emotional stability 1 Peter 3:7 Husbands, dwell with your wives in understanding. Husbands, help your wives. Encourage your wives by helping,this will help her to be emotionally stable. A woman that is encouraged by her husband brings honor to him. Ruth 1:16-17 As wives we must embrace our family,husband,his culture, his religion and his people. Proverbs 21:37 A wise woman watches over her household. As women and men, we need empowerment to succeed. Empowerment to reach the height of our careers. Empowerment to keep our household in place. We need to support ourselves in ways that we can. Above all we all need God in our lives to be empowered. We must accept him as our Lord and saviour. Mark 8:36. PRAYER POINTS * Father, help me, empower me to be the woman that you want me to be. * Father by your empowerment in my life, i will succeed,i will florish. * Father empower our children to become whom you have created them to be.
