SUNY Delhi has an opening for a Part Time Copy Center Coordinator Job Description: Reporting to the Assistant Manager of Client Support Services, the Copy Center Manager is charged with overseeing the daily operations of the Copy Center, researching and implementing software to extend electronic work flow into the daily operations of the copy center, as well as managing the incorporation of new print technologies into the daily work of the Copy Center. This is a half-time position. Specific duties and responsibilities include: 1. Act as a customer services contact for Copy Center; explain policies and procedures and resolve issues related to Copy Center services. 2. Assist in refining, developing, and implementing of procedures for Copy Center. Provide input on changes in departmental policies, procedures, pricing policies and equipment acquisition. 3. Assist in oversight of instructional and administrative materials produced at Copy Center. Responsibilities include invoicing for Copy Center services and ensure quality control for completed orders. 4. Coordinate work order requests for Copy Center, including bookstore orders, work schedules and prioritize work flow. 5. Provide advice and coordinate projects with faculty and staff on production and copyright issues. 6. Maintain inventories and order supplies as appropriate. 7. Investigate and recommend new initiatives such as large format printing and the possibility of adding student printing services. 8. Operate and maintain high volume copying and finishing equipment. 9. Supervise Keyboard Specialist 1 and student assistants. 10. Ability to operate and maintain all copy shop machinery including copiers/printers, letter folders, laminating machines, booklet binding machines, mechanical paper cutters, stapling and hole punch equipment 11. Maintain effective working relationships and interact with the public in a helpful, courteous and friendly manner. Demonstrate sensitivity to and respect for a diverse population. 12. Learn new procedures and the operation of new equipment quickly; work independently with a minimum of supervision; follow and give oral and written instructions; supervise student assistants; maintain effective working relationships; interact with the public in a helpful, courteous and friendly manner; demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for, a diverse population. . Requirements: Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and two years’ experience in printing or copy center operations preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly; Publisher, Excel, Word and of Adobe products (helpful), InDesign primarily, Illustrator and Photoshop secondarily. Email fluency and knowledge of printer settings in drivers. Demonstrated ability to utilize and maintain copy shop equipment. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage a digital workflow, while developing new initiatives to enhance Copy Center services and efficiency. Required skills include pre-press (working with Word, Publisher, InDesign, jpegs and other files), ability to work independently, basic bookkeeping, good oral and written communication skills, basic mechanical sensibility and trouble shooting skills and the ability to lift 50 pounds. A focus on outstanding customer service is essential for the position. Additional Information: Salary Range: $18,000 - $20,000 annually.
