**SUPER URGENT - Medical!!** **RESCUE ONLY** Indianapolis, IN Please help!! Stewie was on our adoption floor and staff noticed on Saturday that his rectum had prolapsed. He was sent to the vet and placed in cone and in our stray kennels. He is not doing well at all. I noticed him last night shaking and trembling and he would not get up for me. This morning he has been messing with his “area” despite having a cone on, and it is looking pretty bad. He needs more care than we can give. We need immediate rescue-by the end of the day if possible!! Vet notes below: 11-16-14 This dog went to the vet on 11-15-14 (AAEC) for a prolapsed rectum. The dog was seen and treated. Evaluation; Rectal Prolapse w/ inflamation to tissue. Require reduction/purse string suture-concent given by WCA over the phone Treatment: low residue diet for 2 weeks; use broad spectrum dewormer; purse string suture around anus removal by vet in about 5 days. Keep e-collar on at all times until purse string suture removal contact [email protected] Indianapolis Animal Care and Control
