SUPERMAN UPDATE: Holy cow, the transformation in this dog in less than 48 hours is just amazing. I went out to give him his breakfast, and he was up on his feet, eagerly following me around, excited to get to his bowl. Its the first time Ive seen him move faster than a 90-year-old arthritic, and the first time Ive seen him wag his tail for more than a second. Hes still a crusty, scaly, itchy, stinky boy, but his SPIRIT is coming back. And I think he looks even fatter than yesterday, although its going to take much more time for him to look like anything other than a bag of bones. What Superman doesnt know is that at 9:30 (just over an hour from now!) he gets loaded up for his trip into Jacksonville to meet his new foster mom. Im really excited for him, and looking forward to seeing pictures of his progress over time. I have a dream of one day seeing a fat and healthy Superman in a red cape. :) Ill be in touch again after we finish dropping him off with his new mom, and Ill let everyone know where they can send their donations to help with his veterinary care (of which he will need a great deal, Im sure). Thanks to everyone for their continued support, and for all of their help spreading the word so we could find the right person to care for him!
