SUPPORT NATIONAL MIRROR, SUPPORT JIMOH IBRAHIM Dear colleagues, I am not holding brief for Barr Jimoh Ibrahim whn I learnt of his plans through Rotimi address on Facebook. He is investing in every business in the name of trying to create employment. However, this is against the profit maximisation in the private sector. It is only good for you to invest in the business that you truly understand the risks particularly the media. No consultant will understand the risks like the owner of the business. Our colleagues should use their goodwill to win business for national Mirror. I will suggest to our colleagues to think more of the company they are working for than their pockets. This was the ideology which contributed to the success of Financial Standard when Ayo Arowolo was in charge. When he left and those of us he trained left, what happened thereafter is a different story. For any media house to succeed today, the senior staff must work towards generating revenue for the organisation. The operators are not your friends but will patronise you when your platform is still functioning. Please support Jimoh Ibrahim, he is not an exploiter and he is not a bad person but sincerely manpower is the most difficult thing to manage. Your First class from Havard cannot guarantee your success as an entrepreneur but a combination of cost control, humility, dedicated staff, discipline and creativity. National Mirror will not die. Colleagues don’t resign but sit down together and see National Mirror as your business. Senior staff get rid of staff that are frustrating your effort, then you will fly. There is no company you will go today that you will not be required to generate adverts for the company to survive. Please don’t resign. Support Barr Jimoh Ibrahim. He is not the problem , staff also have their contributions . Do not allow him to be frustrated. National Mirror will live long. Please support Jimoh Ibrahim.
