SUP’S ELEGY TO VETERAN REVOLUTIONARY COMRADE MICHAEL KPAKALA FRANCIS REST There you lie down, not in death but in REST, for you now join the valued few who are at REST but are still fighting. When the state is unarguably gullible and disappointingly credulous, it is rational to REST and watch the commitment of others to stand up against such societal nemesis. If the voice of the voiceless was serenading yesterday, be informed that it is satisfactorily quiet today, and it is just necessary that you REST awhile. Today, all that is left now is ‘LIBERIA FOR SALE,’ in the faces of the advocates of yesterday, but please REST that the weak and unprotected people of Liberia will know the true advocates of today. Apparently they shouted yesterday because you were on your feet, now that you are RESTING, let’s see the strengthen commitment of current rights advocates; we truly will miss your moral voice during this critical time of nepotism, chronic corruption, and massive unemployment which continue to keep the masses vulnerable to total insecurity. You were feared on your feet; you were cherished in your fight for social justice, academic freedom and peace; now that you are RESTING, traveling is the order of the day for some of them who are the direct beneficiaries of your struggle yesterday, regular traveling which has brought practically nothing except CONCESSIONTOCRACYOR‘RULE BY EVERYTHING FOR SALE’ AND SKIMMING AWARDS. BUT PLEASE REST THAT WE MAY KNOW THEM BY THEIR FRUITS. Your REST received no national call for a day of recognition and reverence. We are talking about beneficiaries of your unshakable positions against tyranny, dictatorship, and state sponsored terrorism, affording them the opportunity to be where they are today; yet, it makes sense to REST to afford us the chance to know their deeds. REST Comrade Arch Bishop. You are RESTING though, but you are still fighting. SUP remains committed to your true cause for the liberation of the masses and the fight against imperial presidency and executive excesses. For us, you REST that we may keep up the struggle in faith, action and death, if the need be. You lived, you fought, you guided, you directed, you counseled, you delivered, you even connected relations, you blessed, you fed, you helped, you provided, you thought, you taught, you! And, when all these are said and done, the Party you won’t watch to see fall under the despotic, military reign of Master Sargent Samuel K. Doe and the ruthless regime and ring of terror of now imprisoned Charles Taylor, the Party to which you are a Comrade-SUP- says, it’s time to REST, so REST and REST in PEACE. OOH SUP WILL NEVER DIE DONE AND ISSUED ON THIS 1ST DAY OF JUNE 2013, BY THE MANDATE OF THE POLITBUREAU AND CENTRAL COMMITTEE OF THE VANGUARD STUDENT UNIFICATION PARTY OR SUP SINGED : ___________________ Anthony F.Williams Acting President ULSU APPROVED : ___________________ CDE.NATHAN N.
