SWARM is growing by leaps and bounds and we are well over 1600 members around the globe. So, Im now looking at further organizing our network by filing for non-profit status. In the future, we can look at ways to bring in money to... - provide funds to pilots involved in ongoing searches (gas money only when needed on rare occasions). - build the ultimate SAR DRONE. Well call it The WASP (if anyone can figure out what it stands for). - Network Insurance and Liability policy - Flowers to grieving families. - Any potential Legal Fees - Memberships and dues... AMA or ? Potential revenue sources; - create a donations page (paypal link)on our SARDRONES.ORG website. - Solicit donations thru social media - voluntary (for now) Membership Fee from our CURRENT Swarm members. - Mandatory Membership fee ($15-$30?) from all FUTURE SWARM members. - Bake Sales? (LOL!!!!) These are ideas that im mulling over and they are all certainly open for debate and discussion. Every decision and idea for how to manage SWARM has come from collaboration from our members. I plan to keep it that way. So.... use that BRILLIANT brain of yours and help to make SWARM better / stronger and more efficient!
