SYMPATHETIC VIBRATION In Physics, sympathetic vibration occurs when two objects have the same natural frequency. The vibration of one of the objects can set the other object into vibration, too. During the recently concluded World Youth Day at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Pope Francis spoke on two separate homilies that all, specially the youth in the context of the event, that: A. 1. We are called by God; 2. We are called to spread the Gospel/(Good News); and 3. We are called to a culture of encounter, vividly saying that the church door is not only to allow people to come in but also for us to go out into the streets, underserved places, etc. B. 1. Go (spread the Good News); 2. Be not afraid (because God is with us); 3. serve. Maxino College students also had a retreat on July 26 on "The College Student and the Challenges of the New Evangelization". A considerable number of them render six hours per week of service in underserved areas tutoring little children. Many in these areas are migrants from rural and mountain areas. Often times, their children who had their previous schooling in their former places of residence have difficulties when they join the pupils in the city schools. As a consequence, many of them quit schooling. The tutorial work of our students have helped a lot. Some of the tutored children do actually move to the front of the class. I am happy to note that it appears that there is some semblance of sympathetic vivration.
