SYNOPSIS: Happy Monday! Thanks for waiting. Heres a look at the weather synopsis... ASIA: After a calm Monday with sunny skies over Japan due to high pressure, changes are coming for Tuesday and Wednesday. Clouds will give way to rain and snow as we go through Tuesday as a couple of low pressure systems (similar to this weekends setup) roll over Japan. The main focus for rain will be in central Tokyo extending eastward. The cold air will lead to snow not only along the mountains of Japan but also as far south as western Tokyo. Rain will continue into the Korean Peninsula as the low pressure system departs for Japan. OCEANIA: Instability is developing on the north coast of Western Australia, along with a line of clouds cutting through Western Australia down into New South Wales and Victoria. Some storms are developing around Melbourne and Sydney, and it will continue through Tuesday. Some rain is rolling through the northern edge of North Island in New Zealand. The rain will likely continue through Tuesday. Other areas are seeing much more drier conditions. EUROPE: A couple of low pressure systems are rolling through western Europe. One is focused on the northern side near the Scandinavian Peninsula, and another one is located in the western Mediterranean. Rain and thunderstorms, along with windy weather, are expected in these locations. Wind gusts can hit up do 85 kilometers per hour in some places. NORTH AMERICA: The West Coast of the United States and into British Columbia continues to see rainfall. This is a second system to roll through in the past few days. Expect some heavy rain and windy conditions Monday and into Tuesday. Meanwhile, the low pressure system that plagued the West Coast during last week is now picking up steam through the upper mid-West and into the Deep South. Winter Storm Warnings and Freezing Rain Advisories are issued for the mid-West into the Ohio River Valley, so be prepared for some nasty weather. Thunderstorms are possible for the Tennessee River Valley and the Deep South as we go through Monday. Hope you have a good day wherever you are!
