Sabasaba is a holy day in Kenyan politics, the freedom that you boast of now was won by the brave souls who lost their lives on this day many years back. Democracy in Kenya was won by bloodshed and Kenyans should know and respect that.I was a young boy then when the likes of Koigi,Imanyara,Orengo,Njoya,Matiba,Shikuku,Muite,Raila,Bahmazir etc were beaten up and tortured at Nyayo House by Mois infamous Jeshi La Mzee. Ruto and Jirongo were KANU youthwing-Y2K generals and were heavily funded by the dictatorship..a 500 note is still known as a jirongo, these two men singlehandedly caused the depreciation of the Kenyan shilling, and ushered in the inflation of our currency! .Kalonzo was a KANU hardliner and if i can remember well a chief whip who categorically stated that Jogoo party would rule for 100 years!. The moral of the story is that,Kenyan politics lacks ideology, politicians jump parties just to remain relevant and secure their wealth for their families. So my beloved youth know Kenyan political history.
