Saddened by news this morning to hear about the death of a very young vet who survived catastrophic injuries of combat. Nancy and I recently worked with him at the VA, and fellow student veterans at the UA were assisting with his plans to begin college. My memories of a warrior who quietly slipped out of existence are softened by the thought that he was amongst friends. An endearing spirit who touched my life is now gone.
