Safe Drivers Bill Hearing February 5th at the StateHouse 11AM in the Room A2 The Safe Drivers Bill was scheduled to be heard by the Joint Committee on Transportation on January 22nd, but because of the snow storm, and it has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 5th at 11:00am. Those testifying will emphasize the bills overall benefit to every resident of the Commonwealth. By removing barriers that prevent some residents from applying for a learners permit and taking a driving test, the bill would go a long way towards making sure all Massachusetts drivers are trained, licensed and insured. The bill would also particularly help some who do not live near public transportation, and protect the health and well-being of children who depend on their parents in medical emergencies. All are welcome to attend the rescheduled hearing.
