Sainte-Chapelle,Paris The most beautiful and remarkable aspects of building, considered the best of its kind in the world, are its stained glass windows framed by a delicate stone work, with rosettes added to the upper chapel in the fifteenth century. No direct mention of the architect there, but the name of Pierre de Montreuil, who rebuilt the apse of the Royal Abbey of Saint-Denis and completed the façade of Notre Dame, is sometimes associated with the project.
