Salaam everybody! This week is pretty exciting, so get excited. No, really. Monday: ~Come check out the screening of the groundbreaking film, Girl Rising! Girl Rising showcases the strength of the human spirit and the power of education to change the world. We even have the Damen Cinema reserved, which I hear is pretty awesome, and p.s. there will be pizza. So even if you don’t originally come for the movie, it is no doubt an awesome bonus to an already awesome experience of spending time with your fellow brothers and sisters. Meet at the Damen Cinema at 6:30 pm iA. Tuesday: ~GUYS Islam Awareness Week is finally upon us, as in NEXT WEEK. And to finalize any last details and to throw out more ideas for publicity, come to the last IAW Meeting of the whole year to get your two cents out there. But don’t worry, we will definitely count it as more than two cents because your thoughts matter (that’s not a joke). So meet in Mundelein 520 at 6 pm for your last chance to experience the awesomeness that is an IAW Meeting iA. Wednesday: ~Y’all, I apologize once again for forgetting the most exciting and most important event of everyone’s week – the beloved Samosa Sales! I wouldn’t blame you if this was the only event you looked forward to every week. As usual, they will take place from 11am-3pm iA, BUT instead of Damen, the party has been moved to LSB this semester, so be sure to make your way over there to get your weekly fix of delicious samosas. ~The usual Brothers’ Halaqah will take place at 3 pm in the Damen Mosque. As usual. ~If you missed hearing the amazing Mufti Azeem speak last week, fret not! He will be here once again THIS Wednesday iA! For more details, check out the Facebook event. But he is of course coming at the same time, same place – 7 pm in the Damen Mosque Thursday: ~If you are one of those poor, unfortunate souls who has not yet met the delightful Professor Mozaffar, then go visit him in his weekly classes! Professor Mozaffar’s weekly classes are always the perfect venue to get a great laugh and an even better discussion. Meet in Cudahy Science 313 from 3-5 pm iA. ~The usual Sisters’ Halaqah will take place at 6 pm in the Damen Mosque. As usual. Friday: ~Brighten your day by going to Jummah in Bremner Lounge (CFSU) at 1:40pm and/or 2:40pm. ~Revive your day by attending Friday Night Revive, happening every Friday night from 4-6 pm iA. ~And then leave your day impressed and inspired by attending Ustaad Usama Canon’s lecture about creating safe spaces!!!! He will be joining us this Friday in the Life Sciences Building Rm. 142 at 7 pm iA. Hope to see everyone there iA! Keep in mind: ~IAW IS NEXT WEEK.
