Salam Wa Rahmah, Its almost 6.30 am in Cape Town and we are all ready to go home to meet our loved ones after 2 weeks here in South Africa. We have been blessed with great weather all the way except on our return trip from the Safari but that does not spoil our itinerary so much and we took it positively with getting a good rest at the hotel. Yesterday was a free & easy for all and as usual Malaysians still had so much energy to shop and only the baggage limitations put a halt to all the crazy buying. Thank god the factory outlets were the last in the itinerary otherwise they would have finished all the money on the 1st two days of the tour, ha ha ha We had so much fun here , even Hanim who is here on her 6th trip still enjoyed every moment of it. She had extra itinerary added as our friend Maude took her around to other places when we have the regular places to visit as she had been there many times. I envy the most when they went mussels picking at Bettys Bay. This is my second trip but yet there are so much more of Cape Town to explore, leave alone South Africa. You come all the way from home, flying between 13-17 hrs depending on the airlines we are taking , it is worth to stay longer and give yourself a good tour of this gorgeous country South Africa is a fantastic destination for all, be it for the children, young, elderly, honeymoon couples etc. Talking about children, my youngest passenger Jibrail had a wonderful wonderful time here. He is so adorable , so witty and he made our holiday so much fun . When we arrived at the Safari, we were served sparkling apple juice and while waiting to check in Jibrail went to a table and signed into the Guests Book on the table. So later i opened and read what he was commenting. SATISFYING ! That was the word he wrote. We laughed so hard and i asked again, Jibrail, what is so Satisfying, when we just arrived and they just served us the apple juice. He just smile . Last night , at the farewell dinner we all set down and he went checking the buffet line with his grandpa. When he sat and tried the food he called my name, Aunty Afifah and gave a thumbs up and said, Best meal ever and when i asked how do you grade it , he said Excellent. My goodness, for a 7 year old to extend such good comments. Then , on the way home from the Waterfront , he used another big bombastic word, Stupendous to describe something and we were all in stitches with the jokes that came after that. Jibrail , syukran for making this trip an enjoyable one. We all love you very much. Will remember your Ish Ish Ish and kedekut kedekut kedekut forever. South Africa is a great shopping destination too. For AKs-Pipah-Go-Mana-Mana regulars, please consider this your next holiday destination . They have lovely lovely shops, modern ,beautifully decorated and with beautiful names. The price here are so much cheaper than back home especially with the good exchange rate we get compared to Rand, their local currency. You save more especially at the factory outlets. Food is lovely. I can just go for the seafood grills & salads everyday. Halal food here is every where, Indian food are so nice and plenty and they even have halal Korean food too. South Africas tourist products are just superb. They have everything, From city tour to islands, mountain, wine lands , safaris, whale watching, Diving, bird watching and so many other eco tourism products and they have so many museums & art galleries if you are into it. They also have theaters and art shows. I wont talk, about it as i have not read much about it.You must not miss their Botanical gardens off course. Its a must! You can just spend hours there and relax enjoying natures gift. They have plenty of quality souvenirs, good designs and worth spending your money. They have plenty of household outlets here. Beddings, toiletries, langeries, clothings are good buy. If you are house proud , you will be spoilt for choices especially kitchen appliances and gadgets. Le Creuset is so much cheaper here. People are their greatest assets. Capetonians, the Afrikans are very very friendly people. We get good services from all the hotel staffs, always smiling, No Kurang ajar attitude. People on the streets are just as great, smiling and ever willing to help when you ask around. To our new found friend the January Clan, Abdullah, Moorhead, Fatimah & Esyhan , syukran for making our trip a memorable one . We will never forget the warm and gracious hospitality extended to my group. How can i thank you enough? Malaysians always want to know if the the public toilets are clean? Every where we go, they are extremely clean. Not exaggerating . The only thing here, the toilets dont have bidet and some dont even have water tap located at convenient place for us, especially the muslims to take ablutions and etc etc. Double Tree Hilton was kind enough to let us have a Cebok in each toilet when i relate our problems. Well so much for now. Have a great weekend everyone and see you soon. Wassallam, ASk-Pipah-Go-Mana-Mana !
