Salem Police are investigating a robbery (not an armed robbery) which occurred on Monday, October 14th at Paradise Flowers, located in the 700 block of North Broadway. At approximately 5:15 pm the suspect entered the store and demanded money from the clerk behind the counter. The clerk advised the register was locked at which point he demanded money that the clerk had. Taken was a small amount of cash and the suspect fled the store on foot. The clerk activated the alarm however responding officers were unable to locate the suspect. The offender is described as a young male approx. 17 to 18 years old, with shaggy hair and wearing a black beanie hat pulled down to his eye brows with hair sticking out the front and sides. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and baggie jeans and had some acne on his face. The case is currently under investigation, anyone with information is encouraged to call the Salem Police Department at 548-2232.
