Salina - from Sal to Finland Salina is now in Finland with Aino, in her forever home! Finally...!!! We had a lot of obstacles, in vain. Everything was as supposed to but some people whos job is to serve and help just made things difficult for no reason. I refused to fly without Salina on Friday night when TAPs Sal personnel made up a rule that does not exist, that they have to fax the dogs papers to Lisbon 24 hrs before the flight. First it was an old rule, then a brand new EU regulation. Yeah right! We were there for two hours with Vicki waiting for them to do their job. Nicky called them. Finally Nicky told me to fly without Salina. Well no way! We had done everything right and the papers were immaculate. And I promised my friend I would bring her dog home. And then on top of that I barely made it to the connecting flight from Frankfurt to helsinki. This flight was confirmed 21:12 Monday night in cv and I needed to be at the airport 21:30... Guess was I in a hurry?! And then the flight from Lisbon was of course delayed, bloody TAP!! We landed in Frankfurt 15 minutes before boarding started to Lufthansa flight. I RAN from terminal to the other one. I was sure I would collapse... Everyone else had already boarded. I waited at the gate for them to confirm Salina is transferred to the plane. I would not have got on the plane if not. They were calling and calling and checking with the computer... And thanks to Lufthansas great personnel we made it. There service is on a completely different level to TAPs. So I didnt get stuck there but would have been nice to meet Alex! I was sure we would stay there at one point. Very good we didnt I was not well at all. Aino and my sister Helena were there to meet us at the airport. It was so great seeing them together for the first time, Salina and Aino! :)
