Sam Miller and I just had this talk and want our family and friends to all understand what we ask. I know my friends that are florists in Lubbock and Brownfield arent going to like this but here goes. When Sam and I pass away we want our family and friends to know that we wish for them to donate the money they would of donated on flowers to the animal rights organization of their choosing.. We will not be upset if there are no flowers at our funerals as we know you all loved us enough to help the animals. I research to find out the best animal organizations to donate to...Mom and I chose Humane Society of the United States. They are always the first to arrive and stay the longest when national disaster happens, (Hurricane Katrina). World Wildlife Fund is the other I donate to yearly. I also donate to local organizations and when someone in Brownfield passes away a donation to Brownfield Pets will be made. However I found they were not letting the family know who donated so I could see who I needed to send a thank you too...I did call them and sent a note via FB so they would know to hopefully do that In the future.
