Sam is still looking for his foster or furever home! Remember Sam and Sawyer, the brothers who were really shy? PITC, our foster family, and the trainer all agree it is best to separate them now. We know some of you think they should stay together, but please understand that we know them best and in this particular case they will be better off to live separately. For instance, Sam is more socialized than Sawyer. If Sawyer is getting attention, Sam will jump in and make the attention on him and Sawyer backs off. Sam does not do this to any of the dogs at the trainers home or the foster home, only to Sawyer. It is impeding Sawyers social skills. We feel Sam will fit into another foster home just fine and will not demand attention, but play really well with other dogs in the home. And Sawyer will be free to gain confidence without being in Sams shadow all the time. They both bond easily with other dogs. We think he needs to be in a foster home that has another dog.
