Samhain Between the Autumn Equinox and the Winter Solstice the - TopicsExpress

Samhain Between the Autumn Equinox and the Winter Solstice the veil between the Earth and the spirit world was said to be at it’s finest. This time was called Samhain. In the Northern Hemisphere its Eve falls on the 31st of October, in the Southern Hemisphere it is the 30th of April. According to ancient Celtic tradition neither human or spirit needed a password to enter each other’s worlds, it was a time that neither belonged to the past or present. On this night departed friends and relatives made contact with their living kin attracted to the fires that were lit on the hillsides of a long gone world. Offerings of food and drink were left out for the spirits, love spells were conjured, feasts were prepared and mirror magick practiced. Enactments and symbols of life and death, fertility and decay, play and sorrow were entwined in the practices and rituals of the great sabbat of Samhain reminding all of the turning wheel of beginnings and endings. Light a candle for someone in the heavens. Leave an offering out for a passing spirit. With Love Danae the Witch of SpellBox
