Sample essay. Cambridge IELTS 8, TEST 2 Task 1 The three graphs illustrate alterations on an annual basis by a specific school in the United Kingdom in the following respective years such as 1981, 1991 and 2001. As is revealed in the three pie charts, the vast bulk of total spending accounted for teachers’ salaries. Initially, the second vast proportion of school expenditure amounted to other employees’ salaries resulting at just 28%, fourteen fold as compared to that of insurance spending in 1981. Resources along with furniture and supply accounted for the similar percent just at 15 as the third most popular sector for funding in the same year. Furthermore, in 1991 total spending was halved by teachers’ wages reaching an all-time high. Furniture and equipment were outnumbered fourfold by resources resulting at just 5 percent. Consequently, in 2001 despite fourfold increase at 8 percent as compared to that of in 1981 insurance expenditure remained as the least favorite spending item.
