Samuel R Hayes III I watched the video, and I get his point of view. I agree that the system is broken, has been for years. Fixing it is the lifes work of everyone, for everyone is affected profoundly. At present our society has a lot to improve on across the board. I know that in my day when I spent time in the Deep South I witnessed both good and bad from all makes and models--it was not on my wish list to drive through black neighborhoods in white BMWs either--so I understand a bit about how he feels when he was discriminated against. Pretty much all empires are founded on the backs of somebody else--that is history everywhere. A few more generations and it likely will all be moot anyway. The troubles or slow decline of our country from numerous matters does not appear to be reversable. I for one plan to go into 2015 with a renewed perspective on a great many things, race and judgement among them. I understand his frustration, that was clear! I wish you could have known Spcl. Mernard Clarkson, who saved my life twice. Or the dozens of other black men and women whom I have had great interactions with. No race, no job, no species is all good or all bad. I will keep trying to find the good around me.
