Samule Opit, the OC CID Bukedea district has said Lack of truth among witnesses and clan leaders is the major hindrance to settling land cases in Bukedea district. Opit,asserts that most witnesses in land cases are compromised into telling lies when testifying during cases which have made police and court investigations difficult. He says even clan leaders have in most instances taken sides while making judgment over land wrangles, this he says has made land cases culminate into bloody conflicts among communities and individuals in the district.
