Sanchez Tanniehill is no regular gospel singer, he has an amazing story. It all started one day when he was laying down for his daily nap at 6 weeks old, he did not wake up at his regular time so his mother went into the room to check on him to find that his lips turned purple, so like any other mother she rushed him to the nearest hospital. The Doctor told his mother that he had spinal meningitis and had suffered a stroke. Sanchez was in the hospital for 3 months, The Doctors then told his mother that if he lived he would be severely disabled and would not be able to walk nor talk......but you know one thing about a praying mother....she had to disagree with them and them they did not know her Jesus! Now 27 years later not only can Sanchez walk and talk, he is singing Gods praises all over the south. Music has always been important to Sanchez as it is a way for him to worship God and inspire others and also a source of enjoyment. Sanchez grew up in Alabaster, Alabama and attended Thompson schools all of his life. Sanchez was the high school mascot and also performed in talent shows. He began to seriously think about his music career and after high school. (God has been doing wonderful works in his life). He recorded his first CD in 2003, he also sang at the opening of the special Olympics in Auburn. Three years later he made it to the 2nd round of American Idol auditions in the Birmingham area. He has sung on several different radio stations, has been interviewed on the news. and recently signed with Road Revolution. Every day he lives his life thanking God for the blessings that he continues to pour on him. In addition Sanchez is co-founder of SWAGG (Sincerely Worshiping a Great God) and has T-Shirts that many have seen that are printed Keep Praying as well as wrist bands. He is in the process of making a new CD and will be releasing a new custom T-Shirt printed God Did It. An amazing story and an amazing and blessed individual.
