Sandy, Youre correct, the Burka, Niqab and Hijab represent Muslim cultural traditions rather than religious dictates. Youre also right that true Islam preaches peace and tolerance. Despite their differences, both Christianity and Islam stem from a shared religious history and worship the same God. The Quran obligates a Muslim to adhere to the laws and judicial system of any country he lives in or passes through. Therefore and (supposed) Muslim who attempts to impose their religious laws on another is not following their own religious principles. These extremist Muslims such as we see fighting to establish the Islamic State are not true Muslims at all. Theyre just barbarians on a power trip who like to subjugate and kill. This is evidenced by the fact that theyre kill more Muslims (by far) than anyone else.
