Sara Volpe-Holbrook I found the song I asked you about last week. In The Shadow of The Cross. I just listened to it again. For the rest of this day and everyday, I just want to stand in the shadow of the Cross. Even listening to the words of this song, I felt that love of Christ sung about in the lyrics. At times in our lives we dont experience the true meaning of the word love. Gods example of love was sacrifice. John Greater love has no one than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Certainly there are times we dont feel that love from those closest to us for whatever the reasons. Gods love is a divine love. A love which goes beyond human comprehension. It is a love that reaches to the depths of our soul and back to Him. A love which strengthens, comforts us, directs us and holds us in His loving arms. To find His love, we must take our focus off all that is going wrong and the things of this world which pull us away from the cross - then stop, kneel and pray and then Stand in The Shadow of The Cross. May The Lord our God and Saviour wrap His arms of love around all of you today.
