*** Sarah Ann Update: 10/15/2013 *** This is a cumulative update from the past few days, which have been very positive! 10/14/2013 This morning the docs again changed out Sarahs trach tube putting in the smallest size. The procedure was quick with no complications. The next goal is to remove the trach tubing altogether. Sarah did well with therapy, they gave her a wet wash cloth and told her to wash her face, she then touched her cheek and eye with it. Thank you Jesus. Therapy wanted to cap her trach for about a half hour today to build her strength to breathe through her mouth and nose again. Hallelujah Sarah has been going strong for about 9 straight hours with her trach capped. The Lord is doing amazing things in her every day, she is a fighter! 10/13/2013 Spent the afternoon and evening with Sarah. We even got to wheel her around outside. She seems to enjoy the motion. Tomorrow docs will be removing her existing trach tube and putting in a smaller size trach which is all part of the weaning process. Sarah did some stretching exercises today but overall it was a day of rest 10/12/2013 Therapy worked mostly today on Sarahs range of motion. They also kept her sitting up in her wheelchair for a good part of the day. Her leg wounds are looking quite well. Sarah is keeping her eyes open more plus she is starting to move her eyes around. Docs here say she is no longer in a coma but in a deep form of unawakeness or in a severe mental fog. Waking up is a progression
