Sarangi ,Violin and Shehnai.. Inspiring.. ..I tried..Imitating these..Not knowing..they make your voice silky smooth ..The glides..grace notes..slurrs.. Ascends and long descends are attractive.. As a child I tried imitating shehnai without using the nasal element.. I could ..Many years later, I produced it When we were associated With Pt Vijay Raghav Rao..who continued to call me shehnai.. In the later years..I tried the violin..It seemed easy .. Sarangi is the smoothest and divine existing delight as far as The meends are concerned.. And while I forget the name but one instrument that Sandhya the actress played on the screen acting as a toy -seller (Do Ankhen Barah Hath ) had amazing and attractive swift meends which..I imitated as a child.. I observed when I grew with my music finding meends can make ones voice sound additionaly soothing and may be since we touch all the shrutis..atleast when at riyaz..and a selected chosen notes when performing :-) .....N B
