Sat 10th Nov 2013. SON TALK: WHERE DO YOU LIVE? Back in school, we were taught the significance of nature and nurture in the making of every individual. Both also play significant role in the transformation agenda of the kingdom of God. Our nature changes when we recieve Christ but we need to be nurtured to become what He intends. I am reminded of a movie the prince and the pauper where the crown prince of a kingdom bore so much resemblance to a young man in the same kingdom that it was impossible to tell the difference between them. What made the difference between them was their behavior in the palace,when both young men decided to swap places. The demeanor, conduct, speech, behaviour e.t.c of a man can be heavily influenced by the environment where he dwells. For us in the kingdom of God, transformation comes as we maintain our residence in Christ. Moses, the man of God in euphoria had exulted Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations Ps 90:1. The Apostle Paul also did not mince words when he stated in Him we live, and move, and have our being.... Acts 17:28. Abide in me... was the Lords command to us. Jhn 15:1. Living in such consciousness of His sweet presence transforms our mode of dressing, our mannerism, our language among other things. A man living in the present hot weather condition here in Nigeria would not clothe himself heavily like he man living in the freezing conditions of countries like Russia. Thats open invitation to medical attention! As we live in Him, we have our be-ing. That suffix ing speaks of continuity. We are becoming what He desires for us to be when we live in Him.
