The Chapter has purchased 15,000 dune plugs and we need at least 50 volunteers to get them in the ground to return our dunes to a natural barriers. Dunes are also an important part of a beach ecosystem here in NJ. They provide habitat for beach critters including endangered flora and fauna species, all while they reduce the impact of wind and water. Dunes are a natural, low cost way to protect coastal areas. So come out and help!
