Sat nite: Spent the morning in the kitchen. Cleaned out most of the refrigerator, baked two biscuits and ate the last of my figs. I made two boo-boos this week,. Burnt green beans and carrots on the stove. Problem is hearing. I set the microwave timer but do not hear it when it dings. Getting another timer to sit by my chair . Enough of that. Had to throw the beans away but ate blackened carrots. Mass at 4 at KP and I think I have found a lady to take over my job but will work into it gradually. Fr told us he will be gone for two Sat afternoons so there will be no Mass unless I can find a substitute priest. It was so cold this morning I could not sit outside on the swing. Our high today was 72 when it has been 75 when we get up and 95 when we go to bed. Lawrence Welk tonight and the whole program was Johnny Mercers music. Loved it. Feast of the Exultation of the Cross. May Jesus keep his eyes and mind on us tonight. Pax.
