“Satan disguises himself as an angel of light... 2 Corinthians - TopicsExpress

“Satan disguises himself as an angel of light... 2 Corinthians 11:14 Late last night, in the midst of prayer, I was led to this verse... Often times, when were struggling spiritually, its hard to decipher which way were being led. Most especially, who it is thats leading us. Many of you will say, its easy, the enemy is of evil and confusion and God is of light and peace... But, the truth is, the devil is the master of disguise. Many times, he will hide behind light and peace to bring us further away from the truth. Disagree? Fall back into the Garden of Eden... The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’” “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” Genesis 3:2-5 The serpents five words resonate loudly... You will not certainly die. The worlds greatest deceiver... Often times God will provide our paths, in life. And, especially, if its ordained for his glory the enemy will create whatever mask he can to divert you from that purpose. And, more often than not, he will mask himself in light. He will tell you, as he did Eve, that redirecting your path will bring you to BE more like God... He will overwhelm you with a false sense of peace and understanding, all the while, planning his demise to rip away every single gift God gave you... Satan loves that we have free will. Why? Because it gives him the open door to come in, after God, and rewrite his plan. Be especially careful when youre amidst spiritual weakness. Hold fast to everything God initially spoke into your lives. For, as we know, his word will not return void. Understand that the enemy will mask himself in light, peace and understanding to bring you back to the dark. Anything he can do to keep you from your finish line in faith, he will. The battle never ends, especially for the men and women who are called leaders for his glory. Pray... insistently, relentlessly, fervently and without fail. Hold fast to Gods initial plan for your life and, mostly, battle! Battle the enemy and his false notions of light and peace. When God gives you his word for your life, guard it with ALL that you have because you know it will forever be under attack. Cue into your level of spiritual strength. When youve come to a crossroad, in life, and youre unsure if your thoughts and feelings are of God or the enemy your strength, or there lack of, will lead you to greater understanding. I share this because, I too, have fallen into the enemies demise of stealing Gods gifts for my life, and growing peacefully content outside of his plan... But Ive also learned my spiritual strength is necessary to obtain his gifts and, at the same time, not be tempted to falter and risk losing them. Sometimes our uncertainty may very well be God saying, are you sure that light is me? Youve known my plan for your life, why would I divert you from that? Be encouraged. Rebuild spiritual strength. Hold fast to Gods plan for your life. His word will not return void. Love always.
