Satans Interference Its easy to think that when bad - TopicsExpress

Satans Interference Its easy to think that when bad circumstances hit us, its the fault of Satan, or weve left a door open in our lives to let him in. Somehow we think that Satan has initiated such bad circumstances, and that he exercises a level of control over our lives unnecessarily. We need to recognise that the only level of control that Satan can exercise over our lives is that which God permits. There are three important lessons to be learnt from Job Chapter 1. According to Job 1:1 (NKJV), There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil. The first thing that we see here is that Job was right with God. He had not done anything wrong, and his name was known by God in heaven. The second important point of Job 1 can be found in verse 7 (NKJV), And the LORD said to Satan, From where do you come? So Satan answered the LORD and said, From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it. It is important to notice, at this stage in the story that Satan had been going to and fro in the earth, but he had not spotted Job. This brings us to point three. It says in Job 1:8 (NKJV), Then the LORD said to Satan, Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil? It is only at this point in the story that Satan gets to hear about Job. And from then on, he enters into a discussion with God with regards to having Job tested. Clearly it was God who instigated these proceedings. And it was God who knew that Job would pass any test, and God knows that you will pass the test too! So never think that Satan is in control of your life, he is not. Only God decides what will happen to his children, good or bad, and only God will decide what happens to you.
