Saturday (12/20/2014) was a day full of emotion for me for different reasons, but in the end, everything turned out great. First of all, I would like to wish my friend Lee Browne a speedy recovery. On his way to attend the @fight Fight Sports Cyborg BJJ belt ceremony, he was in a motorcycle accident. Fortunately, he is free and clear, and on his way to recovery; news that couldn’t be better. At the same time, I had the honor of receiving my BJJ Black Belt from Roberto Cyborg Abreu. The ceremony was more emotional than I had expected. I want to extend my gratitude to everyone that has been involved in my journey to this achievement, from old friends, new friends from my travels, my incredible teammates, my SpottieOttieDopaliscious girlfriend Michelle lol, and anyone who has ever shown support. Your appreciation, encouragement, and support has always been more valuable to me than anything I could ever ask for. I would like to congratulate my dad, Roberto Abreu (lol) on the great success of the team, for the growth of the team since I joined, and the jaw dropping performance that the team delivers today. The impressive size of the team, however, cannot compare to the amount of love under the Fight Sports flag. Congratulations to Gabe Mazzitelli, Jay Hall, Victor Riciotti, Fran Martin, Justin Brunet on their Black Belts and all who were promoted. Special thanks to Denis Mitchel, Robert Abreu, and Leo Nogueira. Wow, wow, wow! I made it to Black Belt, and I can’t wait to represent it!
