Saturday, 13th September. THE SECRET OF RISING. Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. (Isaiah 60:1 KJV) Rising must be sponsored by light otherwise it will not be sustainable. Our text does not just talk of light but personal light, hence the phrase your light. You cannot rise by the light of another man. You will never be able to get things done the same way other people got them done because you do not know the circumstances that warranted the light that they got. Light must be personal or it wont assist rising. The reason why some people are better than others in certain areas is not intelligence, it is because of the reception of personal light. Thank God for the light of other people, but please go for your own light. I know by now you may be asking “What is this light is all about”? Light talks of knowledge, light is insight into a particular matter, light is revelation on a subject. Light can be seen to be a breakthrough idea as well. Most importantly, light is Gods personal word to you. Yes, the entire bible is Gods word to you, but there is a moment when God gives you a personal word, revelation or understanding concerning a situation that you may be going through and that can change everything for you. A typical example is a case with my wife and I. We got married in 2001 and couldnt have children until 2005. So for almost four years of our marriage we were without any fruit of the womb. But one day while listening to a man of God preach, he said Abraham did not impregnate Sarah, and Sarah could not have gotten pregnant naturally because Abrahams body was now dead and it had ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women”. He went further to say that it was Gods word that impregnated Sarah, because “God did to Sarah as He had spoken and as He had said;” (Genesis 21:1). Right there, my light came, and it also dawned on me that Mary did not need a man’s seed to get pregnant; neither did God need a man and a woman to produce Adam. We are only privileged to be co-creators with God, but He can do without us if He so pleases. That light and insight hit me so hard and that same month my wife took in for our first baby. In fact we had three children in three years. Awesome God! Go for your light now, press into the word, ask God for a light concerning your situation, wait on the Lord in prayer and maybe fasting. Ask Him to open your eyes, in Jesus Name. Assignment. Ask God to give you a specific light concerning your situation by waiting on Him in prayer. Dig so hard into the word of God and do not stop until you see some light. Prayer. Lord, let the light of your word flood my soul and break every darkness from my life, in Jesus Name. Open my eyes and show me wondrous things out of your word, in Jesus Name.
