Combining Lulus powerful vocals, described by MGMs Sebastian Chase as Mind-blowing, with ambient textures and rock rhythms LULU AND THE CUTTHROATS offer a blend of interesting yet accessible indie rock. The band have been working hard with producer Craig McCullough and are very excited to unveil the 6 track EP that will be available in May via hard copy or free digital download. Formed in a basement just outside Brisbane, Switchblade Suzie are a combination of old school blues and modern rock that will get you dancing. The Halls make beautifully dark music that is rooted in pop music and the alternative nation of the late 80’s / early 90’s. It’s future dance music for the broken hearted and the outsiders. Since their formation in mid-2013 the band has made Fortitude Valley their home, playing gigs and gaining a secure following. Releasing their self titled debut EP at the Hi-Fi August 2013 theyve received good reviews on Triple J Unearthed as well as airplay in both Canberra and on Brisbanes local 612 ABC. Kicking off 2014 strong, the band was asked to support local artists such as Blonde on Blonde at Rics and Bertie Page Clinic at the Brisbane leg of their Pussy Love tour. They also were asked to attend 4ZZZs Dykes on Mykes for an interview and a live rendition of their song Dinner and a Show. 2014 will be big for the young band with a single launch and their debut tour planned for mid-July.
