In regards to my relationship/marriage stat from yesterday...My apologies on the length of this! I think I need a book title for this one George Conway II!!! 😂😂😂😂😂: Thanks everyone for liking, commenting and sharing! I love our relationship & marriage! I also know how much hard work it can take to keep it not just alive but thriving as well! I BY NO MEANS consider myself a guru or marriage/relationship coach AT ALL!!! We both still have a lot to learn especially now with our first child, Zoe Lynn Jones, arriving in about 2 weeks!!! Were gonna experience things we never imagined, Im sure! But just as much bad that were gonna come across, were gonna make sure and do everything in our power to outweigh that with new knowledge from those experiences and do whatever it takes to outweigh that bad with good: excitement, adventure, exploration, LIFE!!! We had a blast before this pregnancy and we made a pact to have an even bigger blast after! Im not saying that we should look forward to being torn down by our spouse nor should we look forward to tearing our spouse down, but it should be BOTH spouses intention to make the best of their significant other IN EVERY WAY!!! Pride doesnt belong in marriage! Parenting (mothering and fathering each other) doesnt belong in marriage...thats what yall have kids for! Im not Fueschies father, she has one already! Fue is not my mother, I have one already! Respectfully and LOVINGLY help and assist each other! Yes, men are supposed to be the head but the majority of us take that the wrong way!!! The bible says to, ...love your wives the same way that Christ loved the church and even gave His life for it. The bible also says that WE ARE THE CHURCH! Think about your relationship with Jesus and how many times weve stepped out on, disrespected, ignored our Husband, our First Love. Jesus never came in the middle of your mess and forced you to come out and condemned you and made you feel horrible about yourself just to fill you full of guilt! NO! He is Patient, loving, kind, forgiving, understanding and ALWAYS willing to talk and work ANY situation out between you two! The same way Jesus is with us, the church, is the same way us husbands should be to our wives!!! Yes we are human and yes our patience runs thin, some quicker than others, but the bible says, With as much that lies within you (to the best of your true ability), live peaceably with all men. Most of us dont try our best! Soon as we feel challenged or disrespected we immediately go into #DefenseMode! #WhereIsThePatience?!?!?! #WhereIsTheUnderstanding because to be quite honest if the shoe was on the other foot in most of these situations our explanation would be way different from our reaction!!! There are way too many divorces going on nowadays and weve made up in our minds that were NOT gonna join that group!!! But we also wont be apart of a lifeless marriage either! So that backs us into a corner with only one option...WORK IT OUT / INVEST THE TIME / INVEST TIME IN EACH OTHER (not just date nights, or between the sheets time, lol!) / LEARN EACH OTHER / STOP MAKING EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU / the biggest one of all #COMPROMISE #BothSides A marriage is 2 becoming 1 but that 1 that yall become isnt 1 of yall just because you feel your way of life is better than your spouses! The 1 that yall become is actually neither 1 of you 2 because after all of the compromising and #LEARNING youll realize that the you that you knew doesnt exist anymore, you still like the things you liked before, you still like to be silly and have fun, you may even still have some of your same friends you had before! Its just that now theres another side of you that is held in higher regards than all the other stuff/people you knew before! Marriage will change your life..But only for the better...I promise...Well, as long as you marry the right person for the right reasons! LOLOLOL!!! Thanks again yall!
