We will be performing at Dunluce Castle, on the Causeway Coastal Route Northern Ireland, with special guests Bap Kennedy, Gareth Dunlop and Fretwear. Tickets on sale at ticketmaster.ie tomorrow morning at 9am. ‘Solstice at Dunluce’ takes place under the epic backdrop of Dunluce Castle. Located on the Antrim Coast close to the Giant’s Causeway, Dunluce is the ancient home of the McDonnell clan. Its suitability as a festival site was stunningly vindicated with last year’s inaugural festival event which featured another Northern icon, Van Morrison as headliner. “We’re delighted to be asked to play this one”, says Horslips fiddle, mandolin and concertina player Charles O’Connor - who will make the journey from Whitby. “We were always up for playing the North back in the day and some of our best gigs since we reformed have been there: the Odyssey, the Waterfront with the Ulster Orchestra and Arthur’s Day in the Ulster Hall.
