Saturday, December 13 at 2:15pm Island Tan, Franklin, VA PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SHARE THIS INVITE ON YOUR OWN PAGE! This is open to anyone that wants to help, or has questions about the shelter or PACC Rescue and the roll it plays with the shelter. As some of you are aware, Tommy and I are relocating to North Carolina in the near future (translation: when our house here sells!) With that in mind I want to make sure this program does not fall by the wayside. There have been way too many dogs saved to stop now, and the dogs need us! I have learned A LOT in the last eight months of doing this and the most important being it is just too hard to do it alone! There is a lot to this than just getting a dog adopted or into rescue. Networking, setting up transport, in some cases dogs must be vetted/spayed prior to transport, following up on spay/neuter for those adopted, taking photos, uploading photos, setting up temperament testing, and the list goes on. I have been fortunate to have some great people, and you know who you are, along the way to help with a lot of this. The goal now is to put together a core group of people to help distribute workload and commit to keep this program going! PACC Rescue and myself would like to invite anyone interested in helping with this endeavor to come to a meeting the second Saturday in December (December 13th) to go over what is involved in each area and what each volunteers responsibility would be, as well as answer any question you may have about the program. This meeting is open to the general public and we welcome any and all to attend that live in the Southampton County/Franklin area and surrounding municipalites. Please let us know if you will be attending so that we are able to have the proper meeting space! We need volunteers for the following: Foster Homes Networkers to network these dogs with other rescues (typically via email) Photographer to photograph the dogs weekly and write up a description based on their interaction with the dog, upload and email information to FB Admin Transport Coordinator Transporters to transport the dogs to and from appointments and to receiving rescues To name a few!
