Saturday May 17, 2014, 9am-6pm - ArtZfest-2014 - All Arts Festival in Thomaston & Plymouth Planning is well underway for the 3rd Annual ArtZfest - All Arts Festival - this year to be focused on the theme of the history of clock-making in Thomaston and Plymouth. We are thrilled to have the Mattatuck Fife and Drum leading the Opening Parade in Thomaston and then moving on to the Plymouth Green where they will provide a concert to the public, says chairman Skip Kamens. History, culture and traditional crafts will be the focus. All activities, exhibits, demonstrations, and performances are free. This is truly a family event and there are activities for all ages, both in Thomaston and Plymouth. Historical bus tours and individuals dressed up in character are scheduled, along with lots of music and art. We are still looking for vendors in traditional arts (i.e. pottery, weaving, spinning, candle making, etc) along with food vendors for the day. A full schedule and maps will be available on our website: artzfest.org as we get closer, however, inquiries can be sent to our email at artzfest@gmail. Additionally, on May 17th there will be information booths, scattered throughout the venues, with printed maps and schedules. Mark your calendar now and plan to spend the day. Word is out that Seth Thomas and Eli Terry may be joining us!
