Saturday, November 23, 1946 Colder today and some wind. I took car to Brettons had spark plugs cleaned and carburator[sp?] adjusted. Got it at 3 P.M. went on China road to see fellow about going to Bangor. We went down town in evening. I got hair cut on Main St. We called on Savages on way home. Cold wind. - Daily entry from a year-long personal diary left behind by the previous owner of our house, Mr. Albert Vanadestine, Waterville, Maine for for Saturday, November 23, 1946, Waterville, Maine. Thursday, November 23, 1950 A very good morning. 15/0 at 6 A.M.Clear. Very little wind. We had Mrs. Beane and her mother to dinner with us,. After dinner we rode up to Blacks Mills and Skohegan across to Norridgewock, Larone and home. Took them home and Lena and I rode over through Winslow to China Village and home.
